I’ve been where you are – lost, lacking confidence, not having the answers or knowing where to go next – and I’ve learned you can transform your life when you discover your true voice. When you lean into your unique gift (we all have one!) and start sharing this with the world.
If we haven’t met, I’m Jessica. My life has been quite the journey. As a born storyteller, I knew I was destined for more than what society expected of me, and after facing some unimaginable challenges, I decided to follow my own path, honour my calling, and become the hero I needed.
Today, my mission, in business and in life, is to give back to others to help you reconnect with who you are at a soul level and access your inner voice and gift – just like I did.

Meet Jessica
I’m living proof of the hero’s journey…
One of my earliest memories in life was watching my widowed mother dripping in sweat, pushed to exhaustion as she tirelessly walked 50km a day in the scorching Nigerian sun to put food and water on the table. Life was about survival and every day I would pray that one day, somehow, I would be in a position to wipe my mother’s pain away and release her from her suffering.
In my teen years, I became fascinated with Nigeria’s ‘Nollywood’ film industry and took great pride in relaying stories to my classmates. It was a light in my life, an outlet, a passion.
Then something big happened. I had the opportunity to move to Australia in 2012 with my then-husband and at last I was living the dream life I’d hoped for. But it was a world that didn’t feel like my own. When I turned on the TV, the stories on Australian screens were so foreign to me. And for years, I would conceal my natural hair with wigs to fit in – a very different Jessica to who stands here today.
I surrendered to what was expected of me: a career in nursing. But there was a turning point in my studies that shook me to my core, and I knew this didn’t make my heart happy. I needed to follow my passion. So I left nursing, knocked on every door I could to pitch my story – capturing the interest of a mentor who encouraged me to polish my gift and study a Bachelor of Screen Production and Journalism at Murdoch University in Western Australia.
Leading with my true voice, I completed my studies while escaping a domestic violence situation with two children in tow (and a family back home to send money to). I received funding to make my film ‘I’m Not a Nurse’, wrote a book, started a social movement and business: Black and Bold, and today I pour my heart into mentoring others in their journey to find their true voice and let their soul essence flow.

Speaking Engagements
Be prepared to be moved as my speeches leave no dry eyes in the room! I speak from the heart, sharing my own experiences to inspire you to look deep within the walls of your mind to awaken your inner thoughts and soul essence. Years ago, a mentor profoundly impacted my life during a difficult time. Having been a student myself, I now share my personal experiences and inner strength to help guide you on your journey of self-discovery and awareness. Let me be the teacher who empowers you to unlock your full potential.
My 1:1 private personalised mentoring sessions are tailored to you and your individual goals. They are intensive, powerful, and highly motivating, providing practical real-world actions that enable you to unleash your true voice and self.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
These sessions are for you if you’re feeling lost or disconnected, lacking direction or confidence. They offer nourishment for the soul, empowering you to embody your soul essence in your daily life and lead with your gift. This is where the magic happens.
We cover a lot in this 90-minute introductory session! This is my chance to get to know you – the real you. Each session is highly personalised to the beautiful human before me, exploring who you are at a soul level, digging deep to understand what you’re naturally drawn to, pivotal moments in your life that have shaped who you are, the way you think and feel, and special interests that actually light you up inside.
We also tackle the tough stuff. I’ll identify any self-limiting beliefs holding you back or areas where you lack confidence, explore opportunities, and set some goals together. This session is highly potent and will leave you feeling energised and excited about your hero’s journey. At the end, you can decide to do it alone armed with some profound takeaways or proceed with my 3-month intensive mentoring program where we delve even deeper.

Month 1
Your 3-month intensive program begins taking a walk down memory lane. For some this may mean unlocking or letting go of experiences you have suppressed from the past, or habits, behaviours and thought patterns you’ve established over time that are stopping you from reaching your potential. It’s a month where emotions run high, but this is the necessary inner work we need to do to get to the other side. We also explore your interests, individual strengths and weaknesses, your core values, and how is this in alignment with your passion and unique gift.
Month 2
Once we’ve peeled back the layers and established a strong foundation, it’s time to get very clear on your future vision. We identify what you actually want in life and what’s stopping you from living this truth. It could be a career change, overseas trip, doing something way out of your comfort zone. Maybe lack of funds is the reason it hasn’t happened yet, social anxiety, fear of the unknown, or you might be scared of what your family will do. Whatever it is, we find out what you’re wanting to achieve and how to make this happen. This month is all about self-awareness, self-care, setting goals that are yours and yours alone, and leaving the expectations and opinions of others at the door.
Month 3
The final month is where the changes we’ve been working start to come to fruition. You’ll have more clarity in who you are than ever before and it’s time to take action. This is a very exciting time where we build unapologetic self-confidence within you so you can commit to your goals. I’ll keep you accountable, reviewing your progress, celebrating early milestones and wins, and setting more goals. You’ll walk away after these three months feeling in control of your life with unbreakable self-assurance, a sense of purpose and direction, so in love with who you are and what you offer the world.

WORKSHOPS
There is something special about my virtual and in-person workshops. There is a divine energy in the air as individuals of all ages come together with the shared goal of personal growth. These sessions, held at your venue of choice, are designed to offer an uplifting, supportive environment that’s interactive and a safe space for attendees to open up and workshop thoughts and emotions.
Ideal for school students, sports teams, youth groups, or simply a group of friends. With my personal story as a guide, I empower young people who are just beginning their journey with the tools to discover their true selves and navigate life beyond school with confidence. Suitable for students Years 5-12.
90 minutes duration. $45pp for the workshop or $65pp for the workshop plus gift a copy of ‘I’m Not a Nurse’ to each attendee.
These workshops are a unique opportunity for team-building and personal enrichment. A chance to connect with others who are on a similar journey, form deeper bonds with friends and colleagues, and take a step away from the busyness of everyday life and prioritise the essential inner work and reflection we often push aside.
2-hours duration. $49pp for the workshop or $69pp for the workshop plus gift a copy of ‘I’m Not a Nurse’ to each attendee.
Both our teen and adult sessions require a minimum of eight attendees. Not for Profile Organisations/Charities can request a special rate. Travel outside 15km from Perth CBD a km rate of $10 will be charged. Additional costs apply for travel outside of Perth that requires an overnight stay.

I'M NOT A NURSE
“I’m Not a Nurse” is my book capturing my personal story of survival. A journey of resilience, homelessness, violence, and racism traversing two continents. I document the highs and lows of my life – and the turning points when I discovered my true voice and confidence to be the hero of my story. A bold, brave black African creator – not the nurse everyone expected me to be.
‘I’m Not a Nurse’, is also a film, written and directed by me, thanks to generous funding from Screenwest. The film is my passion project and has received widespread recognition on the world stage, taking home the Best Actress award at the Cannes Festival and an award nomination at the Gold Coast Festival.
These creative works are symbolic to me, both personally and professionally, and a testament that you can achieve your dreams with the gift you have within you. I’m proof that anything is possible.
